About the Founder

Vicki Courtney [Founder, Virtuous Reality]
Hometown: Austin. Texas

As the only member of the Virtuous Reality team who can ride a unicycle, Vicki brings her passion for life and faith to the ministry, both in its birth and regeneration. In overseeing the direction and function of Virtuous Reality, Vicki founded the ministry with a resolve to make a difference in the lives of young women in relation to culture, faith and life.

With 15 publications in circulation, including the Teen Virtue series, Between: A Girl’s Guide to Life, Your Girl: Raising a Godly Daughter and His Girl devotional, Vicki writes specifically for the tween and teen audience regarding issues and trends most relevant to their life stage - such as worth, modesty and purity. Also addressing parents, Vicki offers advice on issues ranging from internet safety and relationships to pop culture and character building. Her Virtue Alert blog is also a resource for parents, discussing like topics and the latest happenings in teen culture. Vicki uses her blog as a tool to stay in touch with her parent-base and updates it several times a week.

Vicki holds a Bachelor’s degree in economics from The University of Texas at Austin, along with a minor in sociology. However, she would tell you that she is most proud to be a wife (to best friend, Keith) and mom (to three teens and two pint-sized Yorkies).
