Is there a verse in the Bible where it says to not cuss?

Actually there are quite a few verses that discuss cussing. I'll explain a couple to you and then list the other ones so that you can look them up on your own. James 3:9-10 says:

"With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be."

What James is saying here is how can we use our words to praise and worship God and then turn around and cuss at His creations? Ephesians 5:4 says:

"Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving."

Here Paul is telling us that cussing and saying dirty jokes have no place in a Christian's conversation. Use words that reflect the Spirit of God within you. Let's say that one day you overhear someone cussing and the next minute they try to talk to you about God. How serious are you going to take them? Let's remember that our words reflect what is in your heart. You can also look up Proverbs 13:3 and Psalm 15:3.

I think that cussing makes someone look like they have bad morals. "Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones." -Proverbs 16:24

Okay. For anyone who has a question about cussing or not, whether it will make you cool or not, ect.
Cussing is ugly. It is verrry unbecoming for a lady, especially one who is a Christian!! No one will think you are less funny, or less cool because you don't cuss, and if they DO, then is that really a person you want to impress?? Not me!!
