How do I keep my commitment to God strong and give Him more time in my life?

Time with God is never enough it seems. We make time for this activity or that friend, and sometimes God gets pushed aside. In our world, there is always something happening to cause us to cut our time with God short. God is patient though. He wants that fellowship with us, and He will continue to wait on us because He continues to see us for who we are inside, not just on the outside. The cool thing about God is He tells us in his word, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."(Hebrews 13:5)

Just remember what Romans 8:38-39 says, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." No matter what seems to get in the way, God will continue to hold onto us.

One idea is to find an accountability partner. If you are having trouble staying on top of things with God, why not find a friend to help you? It is always good to have someone a little older encouraging you in your walk with God. Timothy had Paul pushing him along in his walk with God. I am sure there were times in his life where he felt like there just wasn't enough time. Look over Hebrews 12:1-3, we have so many cheering us on and praying for us in our Christian walk. It just takes some patience and endurance to continue running, regardless of the obstacles.

Accountability partners are GREAT! Even if you are strong in your faith and things are going good, you can encourage them and teach them what you have learned and also the other way around. My friend and I have kept each other accountable since September and her and I have never been so strong in our faith. It really works!
