VRM launches new interactive-site for teens

Austin, Texas (May 1, 2007) - Virtuous Reality (VRM), a not-for-profit ministry aimed at encouraging and supporting tween and teen girls and parents in their faith, today announced the re-launch of its website, virtuousreality.com, an online magazine for teens. Initially launched in 2000, the redesign comes after months of research, planning and development to provide the online community a much needed resource in countering negative messages about beauty, love and truth prevalent in the media.

“In keeping up with the ever-changing demands of our youth culture, we recognize both the need and value for positive influences in their lives,” notes Vicki Courtney, VRM founder and best-selling author of the Teen Virtue series. “Our new site creates a space for teens to hang out, get informed and be encouraged.”

Sporting a new design, added features and interactive elements, the new site offers visitors easy navigation and a current pulse on teen culture. In being an online magazine, weekly articles and questions will offer advice on issues ranging from relationships and girl politics, to purity, peer pressure and spiritual health. New additions also include a prayer board, a VRM blog, a featured artist post and the opportunity for teens to comment on materials and issues presented.

Aside from online media, VRM offers a number of resources and events for tween and teen girls and parents tackling issues most relevant to the culture.
